So Steve & Carol WERE empty nesters (as they referred to themselves).  Now their home is filled with the pitter-patter of kitten feet.  Well, make that the thunderous sounds of Maine Coon kitten feet.  They went from a home without pets, to adopting three of our babies.

While they consider themselves lucky to have these darlings, the truth is WE'RE the lucky ones as we found such loving parents.

I think they're going to find a lot to get into and will keep Steve & Carol on their toes!

On the screen porch with Steve & Carol

These three have more than any cat could ask for......run of the house, a beautiful screened-in porch with new cat ledges, hand-painted food & water bowls with their names on them, engraved collars & tags, a cool cat-tree, a computer to send us updates, and all the toys & love they could imagine.  We couldn't be happier that they live together and are spoiled rotten..and are so thrilled we get to visit often.

Their grand-daughters just adore the kittens and as you can see, the feeling is reciprocated.

CHAMPION ALTER
CHEMICOONS TAWNIE MOMIE
Tawnie is Irish for little girl, little one
Momie is an acronym for Missouri Mainer in Exile (Steve is from Maine).

Tawnie (kitten name Ava) was our darling from the start.  She was born with a beautiful pattern and has always stuck out.  She's a well-balanced girl, but we initially thought she wouldn't be very large..ha! At 10 months old, she's over 10 lbs; her large size has been a nice surprise.
Tawnie's profile is perfect and she has a nice chin.  Her best quality is that she knows just how to tug at our heart strings and we know she continues to do the same with Carol & Steve (especially Steve's).  She was the first kitten we almost backed out of selling.  Fortunately, she's very near by and we get to visit with her often.  I think that's the only reason I let her leave our house.  We just love the little princess!

SUPREME GRAND CHAMPION ALTER
CHEMICOONS McGURK MOMIE
McGurk is the "Englishized" version of a popular
Irish name, Mac Oirc/Mag Coirc

McGurk (kitten name Newton) is the "good" kitten in his house.  He is very well behaved and works hard in attempts to keep his littermates, Tawnie & Seamus, in line.  To do so, he's resorted to chewing off their whiskers!

Newton is truly a gentle soul.  He has wonderful size, boning, a great pattern and warm brown color.  He weighs 14 lbs at 7 months!  We're thrilled that Carol has decided to show this sweetheart & he's done so well!

DOUBLE GRAND CHAMPION ALTER
CHEMICOONS SEAMUS MOMIE
Seamus is Celtic/Gaelic for James (their late son's middle name)

And then there is Seamus (kitten name Linus)...who thinks everything is funny!  This guy melts my heart.  If I could reproduce the same cat/kitten over and over, I'd have a house filled of them just like him!

Once in a great while there comes a kitten with that special something.  He has it!  Seamus is a wonderful example of the breed.  He has the best pattern, coat and wonderful head structure.  His boning and size is incredible.  Unfortunately, one testicle was undescended, so we placed him in a show-alter home.  Steve & Carol couldn't be happier about his undescended "part"....he was slated to go to a breeder home.

He's happy to be with his best friends, brother, McGurk, and sister Tawnie.  Best of all, we'll get to see him often and show him!
